Janay E. (Rushton) Smith-Glass, 53, of Anderson died of a sudden illness September 7, 2017 at Community Hospital.
Janay was born June 1, 1964 in Anderson the daughter of Edward Rushton and Judith (Jones) Rushton Allen.
She was the Executive Secretary to the director of Anderson Municipal Light and Power.
She was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church. She enjoyed bird watching, interior design, traveling and gardening.
Janay is survived by her husband, Jameson "Jamey" Glass of Anderson whom she married August 23, 2015 at Shadyside Park; her mother, Judy (Rushton) Allen; two sons, Josh (Jessica) Smith; Jacob (Amanda) Smith and daughter, Mackenzie Collins; three brothers, Eric (Carole) Rushton; Stacey (Christy) Rushton and Dustin (Rachelle) Rushton; three grandchildren, Javen Smith, Jace Smith and Aurora Smith; nieces and nephews: Jayda, Jenna, Dylan, Rachel, Xavier and Casslynn Rushton , and a grandniece, Layla Sheldon.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Rushton and her grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Chesterfield Christian Church, 207 E. Plum Street, Chesterfield, with Pastor Ned Clark officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chesterfield Christian Church.
