Virginia (Muradian) Vasis, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in UMass Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. The love of her life and husband of fifty-five years, Benedict Vasis passed away in November of 2009. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Roxie (Hovsepian) Muradian. She leaves three nieces and one nephew.
Virginia was educated in Milford Public Schools, graduating from Milford High School in 1950 with honors. She worked for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission in Worcester for many years, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, she worked for the Department of Public Welfare in Boston. She was a member of the former St. Casimir’s Church.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 am in St. John Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, 162, Webster St., Worcester.
