Obituary

Laurence “Larry” Bouchard, 61, died Thursday, September 7th, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Hope Hospice Center in Providence. He was the devoted husband of Mary (Monahan) Bouchard. They had been married for 18 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Betty Ann (Salisbury) Bouchard of Smithfield and the late Laurence A. Bouchard. Laurence had most recently worked in the Sales and Leasing Department for Midland Mazda. He was a toolmaker for many years. He loved animals, as well as the outdoors; much of his free time was spent hiking, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cars, and was an avid New England Patriots fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Bouchard and her fiancé, Anthony Zanni of North Providence and his step-son Nicholas Oster of Cranston, as well as his granddaughters, Marissa Parenteau and her fiancée, Vincent Faella and Mia Zanni, his grandson, Charles Oster, his great-grandson, Antonio Faella, and his siblings: Lauren Giroux of Smithfield, Geralyn Stanford of Smithfield, John Bouchard of Richmond, and Michelle Bashaw of Johnston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7pm.
