Daniel D. Flannery age 59 of Brockton, died peacefully at his home Wednesday Sept. 6, 2017. He was the loving husband of Pamela (Laberge)Flannery. Dan was born and raised in Brockton, the son of the late David F. and Lois (Mucci) Flannery and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
A 1976 graduate of Brockton High School, Dan served in the US Army in the post Vietnam era. Last year Dan retired as a cook at the Brockton VA Medical Center after 20 years of service.
In his free time, Dan enjoyed cooking, catering benefit functions and tinkering in his garage. He will be remembered as a happy soul and straight shooter. He cherished his time spent with his family.
Dan was the father of Michelle Servi of Taunton, Dorene Servi of Worcester, Sheri Pease and her husband John of Fairhaven, Derek Vincent and his wife Nateasha of Freetown and the late Billy Servi. He was the brother of Michael Flannery and his wife Paula of Dartmouth, Thomas and Cathleen Flannery both of Ft. Lauderdale and James Flannery and his wife Sheri of New York. He also leaves his best friend Gary Barchas of Brockton and was Papa to several grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday 2-5 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 8:45am for a committal service at 10:30am in the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne.
