Obituary

Josephine M. (DeGloria) DelOrfano, of Medford, former longtime resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 7th. She was 98.

Born in Somerville, she was raised in Medford and was the daughter of the late Rosario and Camille "Minnie" (Castellucci) DeGloria. After high school graduation, she and her husband Joseph married and together the two began their family with love and devotion. Josephine was a homemaker, and she loved her family more than anything.

Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Joseph DelOrfano, who passed away in 1986. The two shared many years of loving marriage. She was the devoted mother of Joseph W. "Bill" DelOrfano and his wife Nancy of Ipswich, James W. DelOrfano and his wife Virginia of Meredith, New Hampshire. Josephine was the loving grandmother of Paula A. Coakley and her husband Kevin, Christopher J. and James C. DelOrfano, all of Woburn, and Darnyel M. Abreu and her husband John of Billerica. She was the loving great grandmother Katarina and Olivia Coakley, James and Dylan DelOrfano, all of Woburn and Briella Abreu of Billerica. Josephine was preceded in death by her six siblings, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Wednesday, September 13th at 9AM followed by a funeral service celebrated in the funeral home at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Josephine’s name may be sent to the charitable organization of One’s choice.
