Paul A. Brazee
July 4, 1937 - September 1, 2017

TEWKSBURY: Paul A. Brazee, age 80, died peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Lowell General Hospital, with family at his bedside.

A Tewksbury native, he was born 80 years ago to parents Louis and Elizabeth Brazee, on the Fourth of July, a true celebration.

One of eight children, he was brother to the late Louis, David, William, Barbara, George and Wendell Brazee.

Paul attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School.

Following high school, Paul served in the U.S. Army with Company A, 29th Signal Battalion, and was honorably discharged from active duty on October 9, 1962.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed at the Tewksbury Hospital and later at the Raytheon facility in Andover.

He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Ryder, his niece Chrissy Lewis, who was his caregiver, and his sisters-in-law Patricia, Anna, Roberta, and Nancy Brazee as well as many nieces and nephews.

Paul has been a well-known character around town. Market Basket, Donna's Donuts and McDonald's won't be the same without his frequent visits.

Paul enjoyed surprising friends and relatives by leaving small gifts at their doorsteps, not just at Christmas, but year-round. He was an honorary grandfather to kids in his neighborhood. His love of animals had him feeding birds, as well as the neighborhood cats and dogs. Every creature knew where the good snacks were.

Uncle Paul was definitely one of a kind. He will be missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial service on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at the Tewksbury United Methodist Church- Fellowship Hall, 2335 Main Street, Tewksbury. Interment will be private at the Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the MSPCA-Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Arrangements entrusted to Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, Tewksbury.
