Mrs. Joyce E. (Hudson) Wood, of Taunton, entered into rest Sunday, September 3 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. She was born 76 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Howard R. and Helen L. (Messier) Hudson. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, Joyce had been employed as a Nurse’s Aide at Taunton State Hospital for 13 years. She was previously employed at Texas Instruments in Attleboro. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She leaves: 1 daughter: Jayne Pacheco of Taunton; 2 brothers: Curtis Hudson and his wife, Terry of Foxboro and Ronald Hudson Perkins of Lynnfield; 2 sisters: Gloria Hudson and Gail Martin, both of Taunton; 2 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was also the sister of the late Richard Hudson.
A Graveside service will be conducted in Mayflower Hill Cemetery Friday, September 15, at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton is assisting Joyce’s family with the arrangements
