Shirley Joan (Foster) Murphy, 80, was born on October 24, 1936 to the late Edmund and Ruth Foster and passed away September 2, 2017.
Joan was preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd and Thomas Jerd Foster.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Shawnee Post 193.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years Robert Murphy; son David Murphy (Angel); daughter Valoree Gallagher (Mike) ; grandchildren Lauren, Kevin and Jordan Murphy (Madeline),Holly Cates (Shawn), Kendra Gallagher and nine great- grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Cunningham Cemetery in English, Indiana.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
