Harriet L. Gibbons (Wright) age 101 of Milton passed away August 31st at home surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Mattapan, she graduated from Hyde Park High Class of 1933. She previously lived in Mattapan and has been a resident of Milton for over 60 years. She was a Former Employee of Aetna Insurance Co., Boston, a former Board Member of the League of Catholic Women and the Ladies of Charity, and a former Volunteer at the Carney Hospital, Dorchester.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Mother of John W. Gibbons, Esq. (Margaret) of Milton, Elizabeth A. Gibbons of Milton, Joseph F. Gibbons, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Plymouth, Richard H. Gibbons and his wife Cheryl of N.J., and Joan L. and her husband Keith Wicklund of Scituate. Sister of the late Cardinal John J. Wright, Robert G. Wright, Margaret W. Haverty, her twin brother Richard H. Wright, MD, and Alfred F. Wright. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral mass at St. Gregory Church, Dorchester Wednesday morning at 10. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Tuesday 4-8 pm. Burial Holyhood Cemetery.
