Cora Belle McFarland McCrary, 93, of Tifton passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Tifton Health and Rehab. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 4, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty with the Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Mrs. McCrary will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 4, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty.
Born January 26, 1924 in Ocilla, Mrs. McCrary was the daughter of the late Franklin McFarland and Rosa Mae Hickman McFarland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Worth McCrary, who passed away in 2009; six brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren. Before retiring, she was employed at Lewis Taylor Farms for 26 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty.
Mrs. McCrary is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Patricia McCrary of Minnesota, Frank and Patama McCrary of Tifton and Glyn and Beth McCrary of Valdosta; two daughters, Deborah Young of Apex, North Carolina and Lynn McCrary of Tifton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
