Walter Juskiewicz, 91, of West Yarmouth, MA passed away peacefully at the McCarthy Center on August 26, 2017.
Mr. Juskiewicz was born in Dracut, MA on August 31, 1925. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Juskiewicz and Stella Juskiewicz (Geiona), his brothers Joseph Juskiewicz Jr. and Stanley Juskiewicz in addition to his sisters Sally Abraham and Anne Bendure, his first wife Jeanette Juskiewicz (Linehan) and his grandson Andrew M. Hurd. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Betty Juskiewicz (Davis), son Walter Juskiewicz Jr. (Charlene), step children Kathy Hollister (Butch), Terrance Hurd (Susan) and Suzanne Pherson (Mike). Walter has 6 grandchildren, Walter Juskiewicz III (Kadie), Erin Hurd (Jenn), Matthew Hurd, Sara Juskiewicz (Josh), Katie Johnson (John), Mac Hollister (Jenn) and 4 great -grandchildren Grace Johnson, Emma Johnson, McKenzie Hollister and Emilia McMaster.
Walter served his country as a Fleet Marine beginning in June 1943 and was in the Asiatic Pacific area from January 1944 through the surrender of Yokohama, Japan in 1946.
Walter enjoyed celebrating his Polish ancestry, polka music and western dancing at The Good Times. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Interment will be at MA National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.
