Obituary

Frank A. Shepard, 89, of Smith Avenue, Greenville died Tuesday, August 29th in Fatima Hospital North Providence. He was the husband of the late Delores Shepard.

Born in Boston, MA, a son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Anna Mae (King) Shepard. He was in the Merchant Marines during WWII. After the war he toured Germany with the Merchant Marines as a Liberator.

On August 28, 1963, he had attended the March on Washington, DC and was deeply moved by Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

Frank had enjoyed reading, adored animals and loved lemon cake.

Frank Shepard leaves to treasure his memory and mourn his passing his children, Frank Jr., Karen, Laurel, Anthony and Benjamin Shepard. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Erik Shepard-Lewis, Jacob and Alyssa Shepard, a great-grandchild, Tatianna Baldinelli. He also leaves a host of other relatives, including Tina West, Virginia Shepard, Maria Shepard, Kenneth Lewis, Michelle,George, Kaylee, and Aaron Creech, Justin, Amira, and Colin West, Adelina Ramos, Tyres Fernandes, Rupert and Wilma Engerman as well as a host of friends and his family pets Rebel and Taz.

His funeral will be held Friday at 7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Friday from 5-7pm. Inurnment will be held in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, OH.
