Ronald C. Lambert, 60, of Acushnet died August 30, 2017 at home after a long and courageous battle with colorectal cancer.
He was the husband of Gail (Rivard) Lambert.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of the late Clayton B. and Eleanor R. (Wilson) Lambert, he lived in Acushnet for the last 30 years.
Mr. Lambert was formerly employed by KMart for 40 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed spending time with his sons, camping and traveling.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Brandon Lambert and his companion Michelle Galvez of St. Louis, MO and Andrew Lambert of Acushnet; a sister, Patricia Clarey and her husband Brian of Lakeville; a brother, Timothy Lambert of Groveland, FL; 2 foster brothers, Charles Hammond of Virginia and Stephen Hammond of Cape Cod; a foster sister, Carol Hammond of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 1st from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society for Colorectal Cancer 1324 Belmont St., Suite 204, Brockton, MA 02301.
