ELLENBERGER, Donald James, 73, of Fisherville, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
Don was born on May 30, 1944 in Johnsontown, PA. He had worked for American Chain and Cable, VMV Enterprise Railroad, and was a Federal Mediator. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Lillian Ellenberger; and his brother, David Ellenberger.
He was a loving husband of over 48 years to Holly (Koons) Ellenberger; also survived by children, Mark Ellenberger (Mary Jo), Debbie Bechtol (Jeff), and Kim Dugger (Moe); grandchildren, Carter, Kyle, Drew, Ryan, Lily Kate, and Grace; mother-in-law, Erma Koons; and sister, Joyce Koved.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. His service will be 11am Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 9212 Taylorsville Road, followed by burial at 2:30pm at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, KY.
