Edith E. (Montague) Johnson, 93, died at Braemoor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Wednesday, October 5 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Johnson. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Abington High School, Class of 1930. Mrs. Johnson was a Civil Service Clerk with the U.S. Government for many years. She also was a volunteer for the Special Olympics in Lake Tahoe, NV. Mrs. Johnson was an avid bowler and belonged to the Women’s International Bowling Congress(WIBC).
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Vernon R. Lincoln of CA, and her daughter, Janet E. Morse of Brockton. She was preceded in death by her son, Lyman W. Lincoln, III, her sister, Harriet Nordman and her brother, George Montague. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
