Phebe A. Jacobs (Allen) age 72 of Mattapoisett and Royalston peacefully passed away on August 28, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Arkansas she was raised in Royalston, Massachusetts. Phebe earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Rhode Island and her Masters of Arts in Education from Framingham State. Mrs. Jacobs taught Middle School in Walpole for many years. Married to the Rev. Philip Jacobs, Mrs. Jacobs was very active in all the parishes they served, especially the Trinity Episcopal Church of Canton. . Beloved wife of Rev. Philip C. Jacobs, III. Mother of Chad P. Sister of William D. Allen and his wife Jennifer of RI, David B. Allen and his wife Nancy of RI, and Jane M. Bishop of FL. Sister in law of Dr. Eric S. Jacobs and his wife Diana of NH. Grandmother of Darren, Lillian and Bentley Jacobs, Max and Phebe Hodson. Niece of Mildred D. MacKinnon of Uxbridge. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-7 pm. Requiem Eucharist at the Trinity Episcopal Church 1 Blue Hill River Rd Canton Saturday morning at 10.
