Obituary

WORCESTER – Rose (Mosian) Derderian, 85, formerly of West Boylston died peacefully at home in the loving care of her family. She was born in Providence, RI, a daughter of the late Kallost and Seroon (Mazmanian) Mosian and lived in West Boylston for many years before relocating to Tatnuck Park in Worcester.

She was a longtime member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour in Worcester, it’s Senior Women’s Guild and the Avaks. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, sewing and especially, dotting on her grandchildren.

Rose beloved husband of 55 years, Joseph Derderian died in 2008. Her son, Mark Derderian died in 2014. She leaves her two sons, Seth Derderian and his wife, Ann of Worcester and Steven Derderian and his wife, Laura of Westwood; and five grandchildren, Armeney of Allston, Seta Patsis and her husband, Tom and Ara and his wife, Lauren all of Rutland and Aaron and Ani of Westwood. She was also predeceased by her only sister, Gladys Hagopian.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rose’s family on Thursday, August 31 from 10-11 a.m. at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
