Thornsberry, Ann
80, found her peace in heaven Sunday August 27, 2017.
She was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church and for many years was very energetic in all aspects of her life. She was affectionately known as "Miss Ann" to the many students of Butler High School where she worked in the lunchroom for 38 years; retiring as Lead Assistant. She was an exceptional woman who took great pride in her home and family. She was born the 16th day of October 1936.
She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 62 years, Marvin, her parents Calvin and Agnes Monroe and a brother Matt Monroe.
Left to cherish her memory are her proud children, Kim King (George), Scott Thornsberry (Kim); four grandchildren, Tyler King (Danielle), Tarah King Crady (Darrell), Wesley Thornsberry and Brooke Thornsberry; four great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Colton King - Aubree and Adalynn Crady; brothers JC Monroe, Wendell Monroe (Carlene), Virgil Monroe (Neila) and Alvis Monroe (Sara) and sister in laws, Eula Monroe and Leaner Marklin.
Funeral Services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Entombment is in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 4:00-8:00 PM, and 10:00 AM till time of service Thursday.
