Christine Dale Brown, 86, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, August 25, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Dr. Brent Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Abba Cemetery, Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Brown was born September 30, 1930, in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Elias & Laura Lee Fussell Dale. She was a homemaker and former employee of H.R. Kaminsky & Sons, the Monarch Company, Halperin’s and the Dorminy-Massee House. She loved to cook and enjoyed sharing her favorite dishes with family and friends. She was always ready at lunch time to feed whoever stopped by her house. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and formerly attended Abba Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Pat Rhodes, Kenny & Jean Brown, Wanda & Robby Ash, and Greg & Debby Brown, all of Fitzgerald; a step-daughter, Jeannie & Ron Neumann of Aptos, California; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vermell Ellison of Zephyrhills, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Larkin Brown, Jr.; four brothers and five sisters.
