COOK-PINA Dorothy E. “Dottie”, of Brockton, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away August 26, 2017. Born June 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Shanahan, Henry Frieburger, and beloved stepfather William Shanahan. She was also the beloved wife of the late Frederick L. Cook, and Merle Pina. Loving Mother of Mary Roach, of Hanover, Donna Zade, and Nancy Bushway, both of Brockton. Kelly Morrison, of Bridgewater, and William Pina, of Rehoboth. She was preceded in death by her children Joseph W. Cook, and Christine Lemay-Brace. Cherished sister of Catherine Morrow, Helen Reyes, Evelyn Elias, William Shanahan, and the late Henry Frieburger, Margaret Feeny, Claire Jenner, Joseph Frieburger, Jean Blanpy, John Shanahan and Mary Greenwood-McLawhorn. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Thursday August 31 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Jamaica Plain on Friday September 1 at 10 AM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
