Virginia A. Kelley
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother


NASHUA, NH: Virginia A. (Lucas) Kelley, age 90, recently of Nashua, NH, formerly of Tewksbury and Woburn, passed away at the Bridges by Epoch in Nashua on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of Alexander F. Kelley, Jr., who passed away on November 2, 2012.

Born in Boston on June 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William J. Lucas and the late Lydia (Rogers) Lucas.

Virginia was raised in the Charlestown area of Boston, and attended Charlestown schools.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Teamsters Local # 25 as a switchboard operator.

She resided in Woburn for many years until moving to Tewksbury in 2010.

Virginia enjoyed traveling to Moultonboro, NH during the summer and Lakeland, FL in the winter months.
In addition, she loved the beach, skiing, cooking and most of all, caring for her family.

She is survived by her children, Maria V. Carpenter and her husband Gary of Peterborough, NH, Diane J. Kelley and her husband Jeffrey Garber of Nashua, NH, and Alexander F. Kelley, III and his wife Kathleen of Tewksbury; ten grandchildren, Jessica Knappe, Virginia Fulton, David Still, Alexander and Kris Carpenter, Heather Kelley, Katie Lucas, Cyndiann Grady, Alexandra and Stella Kelley; ten great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Calling hours are Sunday, Aug. 27, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will begin on Monday, Aug. 28, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Brookhaven Hospice, 100 Lafayette Road, Hampton Falls, NH 03844.

Immediately following interment, the family extends an invitation to lunch at Montvale Plaza, 54 Montvale Ave, Stoneham, MA 02180.
