Obituary

In Brockton, August 3, 2017 John P. “Jack” Araujo passed away suddenly at the age of 67 in Brockton. Jack was the son of the late John and Gloria (Parent) Araujo also the brother of the late Joseph Araujo. Jack lived in Taunton and Berkley most of his life. He was a 1969 Graduate of Taunton High School. He spent most of his working career as a painter for various painting contractors. The last part of his working career was spent at Home Depot in the paint department and lastly for the maintenance department for the Berkley Schools. Jack was an avid sports fan of all New England sports teams. He also enjoyed feeding the birds. He is survived by his two children Andre Araujo and his wife Katy of Indiana and Jamie Guilmette and her husband Adam of Berkley. Grandfather of Evelyn, Juliana Araujo and Aaron and Allison Guilmette. Brother of Michael Araujo of Framingham. He will also be missed by his former wife and friend of thirty nine years Gloria (Kozikowski) Araujo and many friends and relatives. Uncle of four niece and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Thursday, August 31st from 4-6:30 PM followed by a service at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack’s memory may be to a charity of one’s choice.
