Obituary

Andrew James-Benjamin Manion, 35, entered into rest on August 19, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on August 28, 2017 at Martinez United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on August 27, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Andrew graduated from Evans High School in 2001. He was a well-traveled member of a military family. Andrew was a seeker and a dreamer. His dreams took him many places including the music festival culture, the U.S. Army, and culinary school. He lived passionately and compassionately, never meeting a stranger. He was kind-hearted; he would do anything for his friends. He loved music and had a passion for creating a home cooked meal for his friends or family. His greatest accomplishments were his children: Hunter, Annabelle, and Harper. And although he had illnesses and fought many demons, his faith was in Jesus Christ.
Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Marie Clay Manion. Survivors include his parents SGM (R) Dale and Karen Manion; son, Hunter and daughters, Annabelle and Harper Manion; brother, Jeremy Manion (Kamma) of Smyrna, GA; sister, Jennifer Baar (Eric) of Elko, NV; paternal grandmother, Mahala “Fritz” Girardier of St. Clair, MO; aunts: Cheryl Winiger, Roberta Yoffie, Elizabeth Gotway, Sammie Young and Sonja McCreery; uncle, Ray Manion.

If so desired, in-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Martinez United Methodist Church, 3614 Washington Rd. Augusta, GA 30907.
