Robert L. Murphy, Sr., 71, much loved father and grandfather, passed away in his home at Big Clifty, Ky. on August 23, 2017.
He retired from Marley Cooling Towers with over 30 years of service. He was a proud Marine and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Anna Louise and his daughter, Carla.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Murphy, Jr. (Angela), Steven Murphy, and Scott Murphy; daughters, Sherry Elkins (Scott) and GaLinda Hanna (Jerry); 21 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Butch Wilson (Mary Ann); and his sister, Mary Vertrees (Ed).
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 – 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
