Joseph N. Rozek, 94, of Berlin, passed away on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was born in Berlin on September 6, 1922 the son of Andrew and Nellie (Ansara) Rozek and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Berlin High School and Bentley College in Boston. Joseph was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corp. as a comptroller and was later employed for many years at Berlin City Bank and Northway Bank. He had also served on the Berlin School Board and had served as a Chairman for a time.
Family includes his daughters Deborah Roy and husband Steven of Rutland, VT and Sherry Rozek of Arlington, MA; grandchildren Alyssa M. Roy of New York City, NY, Gregory S. Roy of Burlington, VT and Nicholas B. Roy of Nashua, NH; brother Richard Rozek and wife Rita of Portsmouth, NH; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lucille M. (Morris) Rozek on June 12, 2010 and a brother Dr. Louis Rozek.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., on Monday from 4 to 7 PM.
