William Louis “Billy” Reuss
Harwich MA-William Louis Reuss, died on August 21, 2017 at the age of 70. He was born in Albany, New York, on July 14, 1947, the oldest son of Marion Hughes and Lewis Roy Reuss. Bill just recently retired from the Town of Harwich where he worked for the Highway Department since 2000. Billy Reuss graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, NY and studied at St. Gregory’s in Shawnee Oklahoma. He worked for the State of New York as a systems analyst until he moved north, settling in Burlington, VT where he collected friends and memories over the span of 15+ years tending bar and managing several restaurants including the All American Hero of which he was co-owner. Bill leaves behind his immediate family - his wife of 30 years Pamela Tracy Reuss, his two sons, William Lewis and Michael Cryan Reuss as well as his two brothers Peter and Mark along with others of mutual affection. His life was full of laughter, companionship, and fun which he found in his inner circle of friends and large extended family including his in-laws, out-laws and many nieces and nephews. His love and friendship were closely guarded gifts received by both lifelong friends and those newly acquired. He will be missed by so many. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich at 10 am. A celebration of Bill’s life will begin Sunday September 10, afternoon at his home in Harwich.
