Joseph Raymond Gerard Tessier, 87, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was the devoted husband of Constance (Lee) Tessier. They had been married for 65 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ernest and Adrienne (Gouin) Tessier. Joseph had been a Marine Veteran from the Korean War, and had worked at Madison Industries for thirty years as a cost estimator.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Denise Lyckland and her husband, Michael, Janice Thomas and her husband, Edward, Kathy Coutu and her husband, Denis, Raymond Tessier and his wife, Laurie, Caryn Guadagnoli and her husband, Robert, Richard Tessier, Jeannine Alvares and her husband, Edmond, Lynn Policelli and her husband, Robert, and Christine Kane and her husband, John, as well as his sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and his sister, Anne Marie Savastano. He is predeceased by his brothers, Roger, Robert and Maurice Tessier.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, Greenville. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Sunday from 4-7 pm in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Greenville.
