WORCESTER-Steven P. Theodore, 85, of 660 Pleasant Street, died Tuesday, October 4th in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. He leaves his wife; Gloria H. (Peters) Theodore, they celebrated their 50th anniversary September 25th, a son; Dean S. Theodore of Worcester and a daughter; Melissa A. wife of Todd S. Giles of Oldsmar, FL. His brother; John Theodore died in 1974.
He was born in Bobostica, Albania the son of Peter and Grace Theodore and graduated from Commerce High School. He was a WW2 Army veteran, serving as a sergeant. After World War 2, Mr. Theodore graduated from the Wagner School of Art in Boston, and later taught there. He was employed as a machinist for the Feecon Corporation for many years, he retired in 1984. Previously, he worked for Worcester Taper Pin Company and owned and operated Central Fruit on Front Street in Worcester during the 1950’s. He was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, Nanof Peristere Post and the Boys Club.
The funeral service is at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, October 6th in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church. Burial is in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 the morning of the funeral in church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Nursing Home, 300 Barber Avenue, Worcester, MA, 01606 or St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA, 01609.
