Robert “Bob” Anthony Barnard passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in Ventura, where he was born on March 27, 1931, and spent most of his life. Bob graduated from Villanova High School in Ojai in 1949 and from the University of Nevada in 1956.
He farmed the family’s lemon orchard along with his brother Denny. He had a special affinity for animals, and spent many hours exploring the countryside with his dog Smokey, and loved interacting with his "pet" blue jay (pictured).
He is preceded in death by his brother Denny, and his parents, Harold and Jeanette, also of Ventura, and is survived by his sister-in-law, Marilyn, and his niece, Sarah.
Bob will be buried with his parents and brother at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura.
