Michael Cuneo, 61 of Rockland, passed away peacefully on August 20th at South Shore Hospital with his family by his side. He was the son of Lester and Rita (Baccari) Cuneo of Braintree.
Michael attended Braintree schools. He was a welder at the Quincy shipyard and a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed tinkering with anything from small to large engines. Michael was also a huge HO train enthusiast building his own railroad model display that he was very proud of.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends but nothing made him happier than being Gramps and spending time with his pride and joy, his grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathleen (McCarron) Cuneo, his beloved daughter Tracy (Cuneo) O’Donnell and her husband Steven and his grandchildren, Annabelle and Steven. He leaves his sister Elaine Shepherd and her husband David of Marshfield, his brother Brian Cuneo of Norwell, his late brother Bruce Cuneo and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary) in Whitman, on Saturday August 26, 2017 with visiting hours from 2-5 with service following at 5pm.
