Obituary

Mary E. Tortorici, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers on Sunday, October 2, the wife of the late Frank J. Tortorici.

Born and raised in Medford she was the daughter of the late Nunziata (Petraglia) and Domenico Pompeo. After her marriage to her late husband Frank they settled in Stoneham where she has lived for forty-seven years. She was a devoted parishoner to St. Patricks Church and her focus on life was her family and she particlarly enjoyed her grandchildren and playing cards with her friends and family.

In addition to her husband Frank she was predeceased by her sister Louise Aliberti and two brothers, Anthony and Peter Pompeo

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ann Marrocco and her husband Bob of Reading, Nancy L. Swan and her husband Bill of Byfield, Kathryn O´Connell and her husband Tim of Stoneham and her son Frank J. Tortorici Jr. and his wife Joanne of Wakefield. Aslo her loving grandchildren, Laura and Robert Marrocco, Mark and Stacy Swan, Erika and Jenna Tortorici, Matthew and Andrew O´Connell. One sister Anna Salvucci of Medford, two brothers, Fred Pompeo of Medford and John Pompeo of Stoughton. Also many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Thursday, October 6, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford

Visiting Hours will be at the Dello Russo Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5, from 4 thru 8.
