Mrs. Jean C. (Auchterlonie) Heselton, 86, a lifelong resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late Ralph A. Heselton, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Saturday evening, August 19, 2017. She was surrounded by loving family.
Born in Andover, Massachusetts, on July 16, 1931, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alexander and Hughina Auchterlonie. Mrs. Heselton was an Insurance Clerk for the Andover Insurance Companies, for many years. In her spare time, she loved shopping, playing cards with her friends, Senior Link, and going to the beach. She also loved to gab with her family and friends and had a special love for her dog, Coco. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Jean is survived by her loving daughters: Maxine Simpson and her partner Joseph Gallant of Andover and Linda Conway and her husband Mike of Haverhill, brother: Alexander “Skip” and wife Samantha Auchterlonie of Delaware, grandchildren: Sara Thomas and her partner William Pricone, Eric Simpson and his fiance Emily Dadmun, Jamie Capaul and her husband Andrew, Michael Goddard, and Kathryn Conway, great-grandchildren: Christopher Thomas-Pricone, and Martin Plummer along with many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Thursday, August 24, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
