Obituary

Lucille Morin was born to Alfred and Judith (Langlois) Lamontagne on November 23, 1925. A lifelong resident of Berlin, she was baptized on November 24, 1925, First Communion on May 5, 1932, Confirmation on October 25, 1932, Married Dennis Morin on May 30, 1950 and entered Gods Kingdom on August 20, 2017.

She went to school in Berlin. She worked at the City Drug Store, the Chalet, and at Saint Louis Hospital in the bakery department. Along side her husband, they owned a cake and catering business. Lucille was the past president of the J.O.C. Catholic Youth Group when she was a teenager. This was a huge plus in her life. Lucille was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, past president of Child of Mary, on the council of Lady of St Anne, and the alter guild. She belonged to the Lazarus Missions, Marie Rivier Association, the Living Rosary, plus the committee for the centennial of St. Anne Parish. She enjoyed sharing her love of God to 4th grade students as a CCD teacher for 10 years, and had the privilege of being a Eucharistic Minister for over 30 years. She adored visiting those in the nursing home.

Lucille loved entertaining and cooking for her family and friends. You could taste the love in each bite. She enjoyed playing cards and never minded losing, she was a great sport. She looked forward to her weekly prayer group at her home. Sharing the love of God, praying for those in need with her best friends filled her with an immeasurable amount of happiness. Lucille enjoyed the beauty in all things. She was compassionate and a person that made you feel better just by being in her company. She would always find a “heart” in all things.

Her husband and her were blessed with a loving daughter, Suzanne and her very special son in law Bobby Poulin. One precious granddaughter Michelle, and two amazing great grandchildren Jack and Ben. She leaves three beloved sisters Yvette Ladiha from Wickcliff Ohio, Jeanette Chalmbers from Jupiter, FL and Mary Jane VonMelker from Steward, FL. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, nine God Children, and many dear friends. She is pre deceased by her parents, Alfred and Judith, her husband Dennis, and siblings Laurier, Irene, Beatrice, Roland, Robert, Rita, Sylvio, Lorraine and Albert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 24 at 1:00pm at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday, August 23 from 4:00-7:00pm. Please consider a donation to the Mother Marie Rivier Food Pantry at 151 Emery St. Berlin, NH 03570 or to your own local food pantry.

At Lucille’s request for those attending the wake or funeral, please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry.
