Marchesi, Elizabeth (Mulvey) 89 years, of Wellesley passed away peacefully with her family by her side – August 15, 2017. Mother of Edward Marchesi of Dover N.H., Maureen Abelson and her husband Ned of Wellesley, Lisa Crowley and her husband John of Southborough, Donald Marchesi and his wife Aimee of Dover N.H., and seven grandchildren. Sister of Edward Mulvey of Cohasset, and Jane Trettis of Situate. She is predeceased by her sister, Mary Willwerth of Westborough. Elizabeth was born July 9, 1928 in Cohasset.
Being a loving mother, grandmother and friend defined her life and gave her joy. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her smile brightened up the room and brought joy to those in her presence. In her early years she was actively involved in theater where she played numerous lead roles for both the Junior Catholic Leaguers and the South Shore players. Two of her favorite jobs were working for Catholic Charities, where she helped those in need, and the Boston Pops, where she was an assistant to the late Arthur Fiedler. An artist till the end, her paintings adorn the walls of many who knew her. A private family service is being planned.
