Loretta (Fratto) Raso passed away peacefully at the Woburn Nursing Center. She was 85. The daughter of the late John and Concetta (Iritano) Fratto, she was a life-long Medford resident. Loretta was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked throughout her life as a saleswoman in women’s clothing. She was a member, in her younger years, of the Winchester Women’s club, Medford Mother’s Club and the Wilson Iannessa Foundation. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends.
The beloved wife of the late Gregory S. Raso, she was the devoted mother of Janice Iannessa and her husband Stephen of Medford and Gregory A. Raso of North Reading. She was a loving grandmother to Gina, Maria, Stephen, Gregory and Benson and a loving great-grandmother to Niccolo, Giada, Stephen, Joseph and Gabriella. She was the dear sister of the late Rose Cuozzo, Natalie Byers, Katherine DeSimone, Anthony, Joseph, Sam, Louie, Richard, Al and Frank Fratto and is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Monday, August 21 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Sunday 4 – 8 PM.
