Eldredge G. “Barney” Yost, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He is survived by his dear Cheryl E. Bielik with who he shared his life for 31 years, two daughters, Debra and Denise and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons, Donald and Dean, brothers, Leonard, William’ Buddy” , and Clifford Yost, and a sister, Beverly Zaccaro.
Barney was a long time contractor and was a member and associated with DAY-STI,LLC in Tolland, CT., he was licensed in CT. as a Home Improvement Contractor and served as clerk of the works and contractor for many shopping malls, warehouses, restaurants, just to mention a few of the numerous projects he constructed and oversaw.
He was past assistant Chief of the Tolland Fire Dept., past president of the Exchange Club of Rockville and was a past member and vice chairman of the Webster Planning Board.
Barney was a past member of St. Matthew’s Church in Tolland and was instrumental in construction of the church.
He enjoyed and loved his time in Aruba and at Webster Lake.
A Funeral Mass for Barney will be Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 56 West Main St., Dudley.
A calling hour will be Friday from 9:30-10:30 prior to the Mass at the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., Webster, MA.
