CHICOPEE – Irene Doris (Boulris) Langevin, 81, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on June 10, 1936, a beloved daughter of the late George and Irene B. (Drapeau) Boulris. She was raised in Holyoke, attended Holyoke schools and Holyoke Community College. She moved to Chicopee in 1966 where she lived the remainder of her life. Doris, as she was known to everyone, was employed as a Medical Records Clerk at Medical West in Chicopee. She enjoyed bowling and crafting and often tried her luck visiting the casinos. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her two beloved daughters, Lisa C. Breton of Chicopee with whom she lived and Susan B. Taylor and her husband, Robert D. “Doug” Taylor, of Denham Springs, LA; her three cherished grandchildren, Andrea M. Adamchak of Green Castle, IN, Jaymes D. Bell and his wife, Hillary, of Colorado Springs, CO and David B. Bell and his wife, Haley, of Magnolia, AR; her dear sister, Jacqueline Blair and her husband, Paul, of Batesville, SC; and her many dear friends and extended members of the Langevin and Boulris families. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Walter W. Langevin, Jr. who was Called Home on February 26, 2015. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Committal Service on Friday afternoon, September 1, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
