Irving "Richard" Wellman Jr, 73, of Duxbury MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14. Beloved Husband of Judith Wellman of Duxbury. Son of the late Irving and hazel Wellman of Waltham MA. Devoted father to Amy Wellman of Duxbury, Jennifer Peden of Pembroke and Benjamin Wellman of Duxbury. Brother of Judith, Steven, Gordon, Cheryl, Jeff and Mark. Loving grandfather to Jimmy Sampson Jr, Michael Sampson, Meghan Sampson, Alexandra Peden and Thomas Peden. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Richard loved the ocean and enjoyed many of his days fishing, sailing and being on the open water in Maine. He was an avid fan of all New England sports teams, especially the Patriots. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St, Pembroke on Thursday, August 17, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Pembroke on Friday, August 18, at 11:00AM.
