Hildegard E. Houck, 84, entered into rest on Thursday, August 10, 2017.
A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, Augusta 18, 2017 at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Burial will follow at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC at 2:00 PM.
Married in 1956, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Robert D. Houck, Sr., who passed away in 1998. She dedicated her life to caring for her family. During her life, her faith carried her through many trials in life. Hilde was a devout Catholic and enjoyed being involved in her church, having taught Religious Education to the early kindergarten class at Most Holy Trinity in the past. She was an avid gardener that loved flowers and the joy they would bring to others. Hilde was a loving wife, mother, and Oma to her only grandchild, Katarina, and many friends.
Survivors include her daughter; Ruth H. Lloyd and husband Robert G. Lloyd of Evans, GA, son; Robert D. Houck, Jr. and wife Renè Harrell of Devens, MA, granddaughter; Katarina of Augusta, GA, and her beloved labradoodles; Theo and Rudy.
