John W. “Jack” LaSpina passed away on August 11, 2017. He was 83 years old.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Malden and a United States Navy Veteran. He worked with his family operating William P. LaSpina and Sons Plastering for many years and also worked as an electronic technician for the Department of Defense for 40 years.
Jack was the beloved husband of 58 years to Lorraine M. (Malatesta) LaSpina. He was the loving father of Donna Craven and her husband Stephen, Christopher LaSpina and his wife Lisa, Ann Marie LaSpina, Linda LaSpina, Lisa Marchant and her husband Peter, and Toby LaSpina and his wife Barbara. Jack was the dear brother of Margaret Aspesi and her late husband Peter and the late Horace LaSpina, Nat LaSpina, Joseph LaSpina, William LaSpina and his surviving wife Doris, Rose Morgante, and Marie Norton and her surviving husband David. He was the cherished grandfather of Jessica Tringale and her husband Nick, Sean Craven, Danielle and Kimberly LaSpina, Stephanie and Matthew Marchant, and Max and Tommy LaSpina.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday August 16th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
