Robert Mark Evans, 60, of Enigma passed away Friday, August 11, 2017, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Johnny Woods and the Rev. Andy Ring officiating. Mr. Evans will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 13, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Willie Johnson, Clark Sumner, Beau Leyse, Robert Leyse, Mike Leyse and Karl Leyse will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Satterfield, Gary Kearce and Gary Abbott.
Born October 20, 1956 in Cordele, Mr. Evans was the son of the late William C. Evans, Sr. and Mariel Johnson Evans. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William C. Evans, Jr. He was a diesel technician at Rush Enterprises. He enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of Stonewell Hunting Club. He loved going on vacation to Mexico Beach and was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Evans is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Reida Ann Woods Evans of Enigma; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ross Evans and Ryan and Elena Evans, all of Albany; a step-son and his wife, Brandon and Heather Harper of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah Lynn and Doug Watts of Sandy Run, South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Evans of Glen St. Mary's, Florida; four grandchildren, Gage and Gatlin Evans of Albany and Reese and Wyatt Harper of Tifton; a special niece, Cayla Rae Couvillon and nephew, Connor Couvillon.
