Imogene (Nared) Watson, age 86, of Brockton, formerly of Madison, Indiana, died peacefully August 7, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Imogene was the wife of the late Wilbur Watson. Born, raised and educated in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Juliette (Washington) Nared.
For many years, she was employed by King’s Daughters Hospital in Madison and had been a longtime member of the Green Road Baptist Church. Known for her great sense of humor, she enjoyed time with her family and sewing.
Imogene is survived by her seven children, Clarence Watson, Frances Watson, Julia Cosby, Wilbur Watson, Jr., Dwight Watson, Warren Watson and Rebecca McKernan; 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, several foster children and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Janice Osborne Crowder, Jacqueline Nared, Dornetta Lynn Gray, the late Gerdine Pickett, Christina Nared Smith, Rosalee Johnson, Georg Ann Nared, Jessie Nared, Jr. and Charles Nared.
