FALL RIVER… Jose Ramirez, 56, of Fall River passed away August 8, 2017 at St. Anne’s Hospital.
Born in Bronx, NY, He was a son of the late Aurora Vazquez and Ernesto Ramirez and had lived in Fall River for over 20 years. Jose was a Good Samaritan and he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, helping others, fixing things as a mechanic and handy man.
Survivors include his fiancée Heather Turner of Fall River, a daughter; Jessica Ramirez of Fall River, 2 sons; Jose Luis Ramirez and Kevin Ramirez, both of Fall River, a stepdaughter; Shenik Fonseca, a sister; Abigail Ramirez of Fall River, 2 brothers; Ramon Cotto Vasquez of GA and Carlos M. Vazquez of NY, 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the sibling of the late Sandra Cotto Vasquez.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 7 PM at South Coast Funeral Home 155 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 – 7 PM, prior to the service. Cremation will follow.
