Joseph M. Ledoux, 84, a lifelong resident of Bellingham, died Monday, August 7, 2017 at his home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Helen S. (Wesolowski) Ledoux since 1953.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on August 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Paul and Annette (Thibeault) Ledoux.
Mr. Ledoux graduated from Bellingham High School and the former Worcester Trade School. Before his retirement he worked as an auto mechanic for many years.
Mr. Ledoux proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict.
He was an avid boater and carpenter and enjoyed sailing, fishing and camping.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters Kathleen A. Ledoux and her husband Gregg Cribb and Carolyn E. Grider and her husband Michael and two grandchildren, Joseph and Krysta Grider, all of Hopedale.
He is also survived by a sister Yvette Gagne of Bellingham, a sister-in-law Claire Wesolowski of Hopedale, two nephews, Paul Gagne of Texas and William Gagne of Bellingham and two nieces, Mary Owens of Woburn and Ann Walters of Ohio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, August 11 from 10 - 11:30 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral Mass at St. Brendan Church, 382 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham at Noon.
Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
