Richard Parker Hanson, III. of Athens, Tennessee, formally of Chepachet, Rhode Island passed away Saturday August 5th, 2017 at home. He was the beloved son of Thelma (Bruce) Hanson and the late Richard Parker Hanson, Jr. He is survived by his mother Thelma (Bruce) Hanson, his beloved son Command Sergeant Major David Paul Hanson and his wife Christina, and his three grandchildren, Elizabeth, David and Kolton of Fort Polk, Louisiana.
He is also survived by his sisters Deborah Duquette of Phoenix, Arizona and Lori Hopkins with her husband Robert Hopkins of Cranston, Rhode Island and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Richard enjoyed playing music, hunting and fishing.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at 10am in the Anderson Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, Rhode Island. Burial will follow in Acotes Cemetery in Chepachet, Rhode Island.
