Worcester – Brian R. Daley, 59, of Worcester and formerly of Millbury, died on Sunday, August 6th in Saint Vincent Hospital unexpectedly with his family by his side.
Mr. Daley is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna M. (Levasseur) Daley; two daughters, Jennifer Daley of Florida and Colleen Lebrun of Uxbridge; his brother and sisters; Kathleen Joubert of Whitinsville, Kevin Daley and his wife, Frances of Worcester, Beth Bachand and her husband, Paul of Worcester and Sheila Bilotta and her husband, William of Worcester; 5 grandchildren, Lexie, Mia, Josh, Tyler and Chloe and many nephews and nieces.
Brian was born in Worcester, son of the late Leo and Lucille (Paquette) Daley and is also predeceased by a brother in law, Harold Joubert. He graduated from the former Saint Peter’s High School and then attended Worcester Technical Institute.
Mr. Daley has worked for the past 25 years in the food services division of UMass Memorial Medical Center and has also worked for the past 40 years at the United Parcel Service Warehouse in Shrewsbury.
Brian was an avid woodworker who also enjoyed reading and being outdoors; especially, fishing, biking and taking walks. Some of Brian’s happiest moments were spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren. Mr. Daley also enjoyed going to the beach, mainly, Sandy Neck Beach on Cape Cod.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 10th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 12 Noon in Saint Brigid Church 59 Main Street Millbury. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 9th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
