Anna P. (Andrew) Doucette, a long-time Medford resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5th in the Winchester Hospital. She was eighty-two.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (McDermott) Andrew and attended local schools. After high school, Anna and her husband married and together they built their family with love and devotion.
Anna worked at John Hancock for many years as an administrative assistant and then later worked for the Hood Corporation. After retiring in 1996, Anna spent much of her time with family. She loved her children and grandchildren and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them. Anna was a reserved, kind and humble person. She enjoyed bowling and spending time at home with her husband.
Anna was the beloved wife of Harry L. Doucette. They married on June 1, 1963 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. The two shared fifty-four loving years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Michael Doucette and his wife Kathy Murray-Doucette of Medford and Andrea Parziale and her husband David of Medford. Anna was the loving grandmother of Thomas and William Doucette, Emily Murray-Doucette, Christopher Murray, Brooke, Katelyn, Lauren, Alyssa Parziale and David Parziale Jr., all of Medford. She was the dear sister of Florence “Lanie” Breau of Medford and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Friday, August 11th at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
