WELLINGTON, FL—Gerald W. Tessier, 69 years old, died unexpectedly, Friday morning, September 30th, at the Wellington Regional Medical Center, in Wellington, FL. He was the former husband of Ann Hines, of Boca Raton, FL; and husband of the late Joyce E. (Melanson) Tessier.
He was born in Lowell, on August 31, 1936, a son of the late William G. and Gertrude (McNamara) Tessier, and was a graduate of the Sacred Heart Grammar School and the Lowell Trade School.
Mr. Tessier had been employed for over 30 years as a Carpenter, by the Carpenter’s Union, Local # 111. While residing in Lowell, he held membership in the East End Club.
Surviving him besides his former wife are his six children: William G. Tessier, of Lowell; Sharon Morris, of Dracut; Lori Tessier, of Billerica; Michael, and his wife Sheryl, Tessier, of Boylston; Stephen Tessier, of Boston; and Barbara, and her husband, Glenn Adduci, of Merrimack, NH; eight grandchildren: Eric Tessier, Adam Morris, Stacey Morris, Michael Pestana, Amy Pestana, Nicole Tessier, Ryan Tessier, and Shane Tessier; a brother: Raymond Tessier, of Conway, NH; a sister: Carole Tessier, of Chelmsford; a dear friend: Janet Pechner, of Lynn; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM on Monday, October 3rd, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38), Lowell. His Funeral Mass to be offered Tuesday, October 4th, at 9 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
