Edward R.Wilkes, age 77, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017. Retired M.I.T. and Honeywell Corp Groundskeeper.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Mary F. (Hogarty) Wilkes. Son of the late George R. and Gerene E. (Guilmette) Wilkes. Brother of Linda Davis and her husband Marty, and Theresa Henderickson and her husband Eric, all of Nashua, NH, and the late Jacqueline Zanani, Jeanette Marquardo, Sandra Perry, and George Wilkes, of Cambridge. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Aug 8, from 5-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His funeral will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
