Kimberly Joy Walsh, 49, died Sunday, July 23, 2017, while exercising her passion for travel, in Victoria, British Columbia.
Born in Cherry Point, North Carolina, she was a daughter of William H. Walsh of Bradenton, Florida and Barbara J. (Goclowski) Walsh of Smithfield. She had made her home in Bradenton, Florida. Kim had lived a joyful life despite her physical limitations. She had graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor’s Degree and from Walden University with a Master’s Degree. Her life was filled with family, friends, traveling and teaching at Kinnan Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida. The quote “In the end, it’s not the years you live but the life in your years,” from Abraham Lincoln best summarizes Kim’s joyful life.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her loving brother, Kevin Walsh of North Kingstown, who was at her side when she passed away. She was the aunt of Connor and Fallon Walsh. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved and was loved by.
